I’ve always had an interest in sewing ever since I was a child learning from my Mother. It was only when I discovered cosplay on the internet that I was inspired into bringing my own favourite characters to life through needle and thread. The first convention I attended was Sydney Main Animania in 2005. It was my first time amongst other anime fans and cosplayers and I knew I wanted to join in too. I’ve began cosplaying in 2006 with my first cosplay as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Jill and I have been cosplaying together since 2007 and hope to have many more years cosplaying together under our team name Fatale Knights.
My favourite manga and anime include: Code Geass, Le Chevalier D’eon, Hakushaku to Yousei, and Soul Eater.

The first convention I went to was Animania 2003 and after seeing people dressed as their favourite characters it made me want to join in too. I was into drawing my own manga at that stage so I thought about cosplaying my own character, having drawn the characters costume myself I knew how it had to look if it were real, so in turn I knew how it should be constructed. This opened my mind to re-creating my favourite characters costumes and I began cosplaying in 2004. After finding likeminded people and doing group cosplays my non-existent sewing skills became better. In the beginning I had help and guidance from my sister who did sewing in school as well as my mother, but now even I show them how it’s done.
My favourite manga and anime include: Samurai Deeper Kyo, HunterXHunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass, Gintama and Le Chevalier D’eon.
